League review:

The league campaign ended with 4 wins, 1 drawn match (although this is still a sore point with the league administrators not doing there job) and 3 defeats.  Two of the defeats were to the top 2 teams within the league and we were very unlucky to loose to Mayflex.  The defeat to City Group wasn’t helped with it being only our second ever match.  The only other defeat, to Bank of Scotland Corporate, was a much underserved result having played them off the park for 90% of the game.  Overall though 13 points from the 24 available wasn’t a bad effort for our first league outing.

Our leading capped players are Chris and Murray – well done to you both for playing every match.  Our overall disciplinary record isn’t too bad and I think most of the yellow cards were for very trivial things.  Our ‘Vinnie Jones’ award goes to Adso.  I think the best yellow card award has to go to Nick for, and I quote ‘taking the lords name in vain’.   Beauty….!

Our leading scorers table finished with Nick on top scoring 11 goals in 8 games closely followed by Jamie scoring 8 goals in 7 games (one as GK) and Steve C in third scoring 6 goals 7 games from midfield.  Well done to all these guys for a great season but lets not forget the guys who set them up!
